There are a lot of famous things in London. London is pretty much known for Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, and the London Eye. Big Ben is a nickname for the Great Bell of the clock at the North end of London. Big Ben has 11 floors and is 315 feet. The diameter of Big Ben is 8.9ft wide. It opened for public viewing May 31st, 1859! London gets a lot of tourist and so does Big Ben. Buckingham palace is a beautiful site to see. It is so big, the floor space is 828,820 ft²! Buckingham Palace is the London residence and administrative headquarters of the monarch of the UK. Buckingham Palace was built in 1703. It has 775 rooms in the entire Buckingham Palace. Of these rooms, 188 are staff bedrooms, 92 offices, 78 bathrooms, 52 royal and guest bedrooms, and 19 state rooms. The London Eye is pretty much just a giant Ferris wheel. It is the tallest Ferris wheel in Europe with a height of 443 feet. It has more tourist then anything in the UK, with over 3.75 million visitors annually. The London Eye opened for public riding on December 31st, 1999. London, England has a lot more places to visit along with these three things but these are the most commonly visited.
